William Basinski and Lawrence English present new collaborative album, Selva Oscura

William Basinski and Lawrence English have unveiled their collaborative album via Temporary Residence titled Selva Oscura, landing on October 12th.

The new album is a dedication for the experimental San Francisco filmmaker Paul Clipson who died this February. Clipson was a good friend with both artists Basinski and English, and the title of the release was taken from Dante’s Inferno which translates to “twilight forest.” The US filmmaker was recognised for his creations within the ambient and drone scene, leaving the two renown ambient producers to put together a two-track LP to honour his memory.
