Dais have announced reissues of two Coil albums, A Thousand Lights in a Darkened Room and Worship the Glitch, both out on May 25th.
The two reissues of Coil mark their way out after late 2017s reissue album Time Machines via Dais, a reissued album praised by its distinctiveness of sound, having each of the four pieces on the album “named after the chemical compound of the hallucinogenic drug that they were composed for.” The new ‘96s reissue A Thousand Lights in a Darkened Room is described as unpredictable and conceptually abstract. The LP “shows Coil’s old guard disregarding the pop rhythms found on previous albums, such as Love’s Secret Domain, and fully embracing their experimental electronic trajectory.” The other announced reissue, Worship the Glitch, initially released via Coil’s label Eskaton, marks the band’s “first proper album-length attempt at conceptual ambient composition.” Both reissues are fully remastered and will be available in 2xLP, CD, and digital formats.
